Cheap Cuts

ARTIST, PRODUCER, REMIXER

Cheapcuts reimagine the big beat genre, splicing infectiously loud rhythms with a lyrical wit that could be likened to Arctic Monkeys, The Streets and John Cooper Clarke. Having released their explosive debut ‘Check your Phone’ featuring Fall Out Boy’s Pete Wentz in April 2020 and charting Top 30 Billboard Alternative, their follow up ‘You Make Me Wanna Dance’ on legendary ‘Skint Records’ is the perfect second offering from the duo.

Made up of producers Jonny Harris and Jack Leonard, the pair both have thriving careers as songwriters and producers. Jonny scored a number 1 and Brit Award after penning Rudimental’s Waiting All Night. He has gone on to write with the likes of Ed Sheeran, Paloma Faith and Rag N Bone Man, scoring several UK top 20 hits along the way. Jack was a member of UNKLE, writing and producing two studio albums, working alongside the likes of Queens of the Stone Age, Michael Kiwanuka and Mick Jones. He went on to a score a number of soundtracks for the likes of Paul Bettany and Danny Boyle.

Cheapcuts are a rolling art collective that thrive on collaboration. They released their debut single during lockdown with Check Your Phone, featuring Pete Wentz of Fall Out Boy. The track charted top 30 American Alternative Radio, was featured on the banner of Tik Tok, and was premiered by Zane Lowe on Apple Beats 1.
